This is a neat story that happened a little while ago.
My spouse is not really a crystal person. He carries a few stones in his pocket but that is about the extent of his relationship with them.
One day we went out shopping at an eastern/metaphysical store we are fond of, and I picked up a number of items as well as a few crystals. The store owner was feeling really generous that day and started giving us a few free items that corresponded to what we were already buying. Since I had bought some crystals, she reached in and pulled out two tumbled stones to give to us for free. One was an aventurine and one was a blue agate of some sort. I was happy to take them as I am always happy for crystals, although I admit that at the time I wasn’t sure whether I would connect with them or not, as I hadn’t chosen them myself.
My spouse later admitted he felt a draw to the aventurine and asked if he could have it. Thrilled, I told him, “by all means, please do!” The two were sitting on my altar table together.
One night he had had a dream where he felt his two typical stones plus the aventurine in his pocket. The strange thing was that he felt an additional crystal there with it, but had no idea what it was! He told me about this the next morning and sat down to meditate before leaving for the day. When I got up, I noticed both crystals were gone from the altar table.
He called me later in the day to say he had taken them both and could feel them buzzing and chattering together energetically. This coming from the person who up to this point had little connection to or interest in crystals metaphysically!
So now they sit together in his pocket, buzzing together like two birds. He named them the Gemini stones. They even look sort of similar, one a pale green with hematite inclusions and one a matching shade of pale blue. It is amazing to me how things in the universe will introduce themselves to you even when you don’t expect it. Even more amazing is how these little crystals met on the planet in one location, were grabbed and sold together, and called to each other when they were separated. Little twin stones.
